Ingredients
- Your favorite beer (I used Sam Adams Boston Lager)
- Cream cheese
- Extra sharp cheddar cheese
- Monterey jack cheese
- Garlic salt
- Paprika
- Bacon crumbles, for garnish

Pro-Tip: Shred your cheese from a block of cheese. The pre-shredded packaged cheeses will save you time, but you will sacrifice in quality!
How to Make Pub Style Beer Cheese Dip
- Place the cream cheese and beer to your pan. Over medium heat melt cream cheese together with beer. Whisk together until well combined.
- When cream cheese is completely melted, add garlic salt, paprika, extra sharp cheddar, and Monterey jack cheeses, stirring continuously until cheese is melted and all ingredients are combined.
- Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with additional shredded cheese bacon crumbles if desired.
- Serve with pretzels, veggies or bread for dipping.
- If you want to keep the dip warm throughout your party, you can transfer the dip to a small crockpot and keep it on low heat or even on the warm setting.

How to Make a Bread Bowl
One of our favorite things to do with our cheese dip is to hollow out bread and make a bread bowl! The presentation is amazing!
- Just grab a round loaf of bread (about 1 pounder)
- Cut about a 1 1/2 inch circle slice off of the top and set aside.
- Hollow our the inside of the bread leaving a thick crust.
- Pour dip into the inside of the bread bowl and use the hollowed out pieces to dip.

A couple things could have caused it:
– If the heat wasn’t high enough once everything was added, it may not have fully melted and combined properly. After adding the cheese, it helps to bring it up a bit so it can thicken.
– Pre-shredded cheese can sometimes prevent thickening because of the anti-caking coating, but it sounds like you grated your own so that’s great.
– It may just need a little more time on the heat while stirring constantly so the cheese fully melts and emulsifies into the liquid.
If it’s still thin, you can try adding a bit more shredded cheese or even a small sprinkle of cornstarch mixed with water to help thicken it up.
