A serious accident that occurred on the SC-390 highway, specifically on the stretch that crosses the municipality of Ipira, located in the Midwest Region of Santa Catarina, resulted in the tragic death of a 31-year-old motorcyclist on the afternoon of this Saturday, the 7th.

The motorcyclist was riding a luxury motorcycle, a BMW S1000 RR, when the collision occurred. The motorcycle, known for its high performance and significant value, was the vehicle involved in the accident that attracted the attention of local authorities.

The accident also involved a Renault Sandero car, which was driven by a 30-year-old woman. The collision was head-on, which significantly increased the severity of the damage and injuries.

According to information provided by officers of the Military Highway Police (PMRv), the motorcyclist ended up invading the opposite lane during a curve. This driving error was the main factor that led to the head-on impact with the vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.

First aid was provided by firefighters who arrived quickly at the scene. The motorcyclist was immediately taken to the nearest hospital, with the hope that he would receive appropriate treatment and survive the accident.

Unfortunately, the motorcyclist’s injuries were too severe. Despite the efforts of health professionals, he was unable to survive and died shortly after arriving at the hospital.

The driver of the Renault Sandero was subjected to a breathalyzer test, which revealed that she was completely sober at the time of the accident. There was no evidence of alcohol consumption that could have contributed to the incident.

After the accident, the woman reported that the car had been removed from the scene by family members before authorities arrived. This may have created some challenges in gathering immediate evidence about the circumstances of the accident.

The impact of the collision was devastating for the motorcycle, which was valued at between R$70,000 and R$150,000. The motorcycle was completely destroyed, with the fairing broken into pieces and the vehicle reduced to rubble.

Given the situation, the motorcycle was taken to the police yard, as there was no legal guardian present when the authorities arrived. The image of the accident made clear the violent impact of the collision.
