A Texas man has been arrested after authorities said he made online threats connected to a Turning Point USA event in San Antonio.
Police identified the suspect as Jacob Wenske, 26. He was accused of posting threatening comments before TPUSA’s Women’s Leadership Summit, where Erika Kirk was expected to speak.
Investigators said the comments raised serious safety concerns because they appeared to reference the event and its attendees. Authorities later connected the online activity to Wenske through digital records.
He was arrested on May 28 and reportedly faced felony charges related to making terroristic threats.
Turning Point USA thanked law enforcement for acting quickly and said safety measures were being reviewed ahead of the event.
The case has renewed discussion about security at public gatherings, especially when political speakers or large crowds are involved.
Officials have stressed that online threats can lead to serious criminal consequences.
