When questioned, the owner defensively claimed the tumor had grown too quickly, yet casually admitted that the dog hadn’t been to a veterinarian in 3 to 4 years. The massive growth had even begun to rot, emitting a foul odor. Out of financial convenience, the owner had been planning to simply have her euthanized.
